IMPCO FLEET MANAGEMENT |
|
IMPCO Fleet Manager ensures that fleet management
systems can easily and successfully be implemented in the Materials
Handling Industry. The Materials handling equipment as well as the
materials transported by the equipment is exposed to various forms
of maltreatment.
The Fleet Manager system allows you to monitor the usage of your
materials handling equipment, address utilisation, plan shifts,
record impacts to forklifts and log operator behaviour. |
 |
|
The IMPCO FM 200 Plus on-board computer (OBC) is
fitted in the vehicle to record the operator and vehicle data. It
records various standard data such as the start date and time, end
date and time, distance travelled, harsh braking and harsh
acceleration etc.
The FM200 Plus can monitor additional sensors such as when the fork
lifted, or the weight of the load.
VDO FM200 Plus HV (High-Voltage) on-board
computer is specifically intended for vehicles with battery power
exceeding 24V, and is designed to work up to an input voltage of
110V. This is an ideal solution for 42 Volt vehicles, materials
handling equipment etc. The FM200 Plus HV consist of the same
functionality of the FM200 Plus. |
 |
|
The FM Impact Sensor is used to monitor the G
Force value of any impacts that the equipment incur during an
average day's use. All impacts are recorded on the on-board computer
and periodically downloaded onto the database. (optional). |
 |
| The Materials Handling Extension, has been
developed in order to extend the current VDO Fleet Manager software
to support various new features for the Materials Handling Industry. |
 |
|
Standard Features and
Benefits |
Driver
Identification
& Immobiliser |
Know who is driving your forklifts and
protect your equipment against unauthorised access. If
speeding fines or traffic violations arise, you can identify
who was driving at that time. Immobiliser functionality can
be added to in order to allow only authorised personnel to
start the forklift |
| Violation and Event Monitoring |
Protect your assets by monitoring forklift
use and misuse. Reduce maintenance by monitoring the
forklifts |
| Driver Warning |
Reduce driving violations and improve driver
behaviour by warning the operator with the buzzer.
|
| Impact Recording |
Know which forklifts have been in recent
accidents, the force of the impact and who was driving at
the time. This allows you to know which forklifts should be
checked for damage and sent in for repairs. Additionally, it
provides you with the knowledge of who the good operators
are, and who require training. |
| Flexible with where the FM Impact
Sensor is fitted |
The flexibility of where the FM Impact
Sensor is mounted on the forklift, enables you to monitor
exactly what you want and the type of impact you would like
to record (side or road-surface impacts) |
| Shift Planner |
Maximise fleet utilisation, by using the
Shift Planner and Utilisation Reports. |
| User-defined Severity |
Gives you total control when reporting on
impacts. You can choose the limits of the three different
severity levels (minimum, medium and severe) |
| Various Download methods available |
The FM200 Plus on-board computer supports |
|
Waterproof Housing
(IP68) |
|
The FM200 Plus Waterproofing Kit provides
protection for the FM200+ on-board computer against
harsh conditions especially water and dust. Optional
integrated data transmission (DECT) antenna. |
 |
|
Download Methods |
| Vehicle Plug |
The vehicle and driver data is extracted
from the vehicle using a vehicle code-plug. The code-plug is
inserted into the FM200 Plus’s code-socket, and the data is
downloaded onto the plug. The plug is then inserted into a
Download module and the data is downloaded from the plug
into the database. |
 |
 |
GSM/GPRS is an optional extra that can be
used for remote, hands-free data transfer instead of the
manual code plug or DECT. Provided that you have GSM/GPRS
modem, you can automate the remote downloads of the vehicle
data via GSM data calls or GPRS connection, obviating the
need for physical access to the vehicle.
When a severe impact occurred, the onboard computer can send
a message to your cell phone, informing you of the impact.
These events are user-defined and you can decide which
events should send a message to your phone. |

VDO Fleet Management Software |
 |
VDO Fleet Manager Professional
Fleet Manager Professional 8 provides the serious fleet
operator with extensive fleet management tools to manage and
report on his fleet. The software enables you to manage
equipment and operators, define and manage events to be
monitored, analyse fleet data and do extensive management
reporting |
 |
VDO FM-Web
If you prefer to view your information on the Internet, then
FM-Web would be the solution for you. You can view the
performance of you operators and equipments anywhere and at
anytime, using an Internet Browser. You can request for
selected Materials Handling reports to be emailed to you on
a weekly basis. |
|
Report & Graphs |
|
The materials Handling Extension is used in
conjunction with VDO Fleet Manager Professional includes
Utilisation, Event, Collision and Timeline Reports and
Graphs, as well as a tool to plan shifts for equipment and
report on the utilisation for that shift and more. |
 |
Events report
The event report is a report that displays the event for
either equipment or operators in the organisation, sorted by
equipment and by the date of the sub trip.
Reports
include
: Detailed, Summary, Graphs |
 |
Collision report
The collision report is a report that displays
collisions detected by FM Impact Sensor for either the
operators or equipment. This allows the fleet manger to see
exactly who the safest and the best operator are.
Report include
: Detailed, Summary, Graphs |
 |
Utilisation report
The Utilisation Reports are used in conjunction with the
Shift Planner. It displays the fleet utilisation according
to shifts, operators or equipment. These are divided into
Driving, Idling and Standing time. This will give the Fleet
Manager a better understanding of the fleet, and will allow
him/her to make informed decisions to optimise fleet
utilisation.
Reports include:
Detailed,
Summary, Graphs(by operator, shifts or equipment) |
 |
Material handling Activity timeline
The Materials Handling Activity Timeline Reports present
the sub trip data in both a time line format as well as a
textual representation. The Over Speeding, Over Revving,
Harsh acceleration and Idle events for the sub trip are also
included in the report |
